The Company

The Cardoso family is in the stone business and has been part of a pioneer group of producers and exporters of Brazilian natural stones for over 30 years.

It all started in the late 1980s with half a container of quartzite sao-tome exported to Manhein, Germany. It was for a customer, who became a great friend. After that everything evolved with more friends that the family made along the way specially in Viareggio, Italy and in Zug, Switzerland, with people that we became friends for the rest of our lives, producing and exporting Granite in blocks.

The business changed in the late 1990s and gray green and black roofing slate grew for Europe and specially soapstone for northern Europe, not to mention that the United States grew as well.

We currently adopt a systemic approach and ASJ Export is committed to corporate excellence in the relationship with customers, employees, society, government and suppliers.

Management efficiency is a priority and should result in continuous innovation and improvement of processes, products and services: with a focus on exports of Slate BLACK, GRAY GREEN and MULTICOLOR for  flooring, roofing, slabs and cut-to-size along with soapstone for a variety of applications.
